Donna, what the fuck are you talking about? I’m glad you asked, insecure voice in my head! I’m talking about my favorite jazz album of the year. Une Vie is preoccupied with hazard sonics and European aesthetics in the same turn. The sound of heals on jagged sidewalks strikes a chord in my soul, and Cosmic Analog Ensemble takes that sound and digitizes it, gives it instrumental and funky body, and makes each pretentious sip of espresso all the more satisfying.
