Solstice is a cover album of legendary jazz funk, OST and library music.

Original copies of these vinyl are extremely rare and very expensive on the records market.
These albums were sampled over and over… but for Medline it’s not the only way to consider this rich musical heritage.
Because, in 50 years, no cover project were made, despite the very high quality of the compositions.

It’s why Medline took the opportunity to give birth to a real musical renewing, as multi instrumentalist, 70’s music lover and records collector. It’s an excellent way to offer a respectfull hommage to these albums and to the artists behind them.

This release have one magical aspect. Each song was performed by Medline, playing and programming all instruments, translating each composition into his sound universe.
The release crystallizes a huge artistical performance considering the amount of work to decipher and play all the orchestration, one instrument after the other, to imagine new arrangements, choirs and harmonies.
Finally, he managed to get his creation as good as a gang of professional studio musicians, recorded in the 70’s, and this just into his tiny home studio.

From the medley of Alain Goraguer’s « Le Bracelet », « Ten et Tiwa » and « Le Maquillage de Tiwa » in a single piece with « La Planète Sauvage », to the heavy downtempo cover of René Costy’s « Scrabble », Medline demonstrates the extent of his abilities. He’s for some connoisseurs as good as famous names in the music game and undoubtly even more for the most mindfuls of them.
